Frequently asked
Are documents stored?
No, not by default. Text extraction happens in the browser. Only the remediation pass touches our AI provider, under a zero-retention agreement. Preflight metadata (score, findings, file name) is retained for your analytics dashboard — documents themselves are not.
What counts as a 'document' in my quota?
One processed document = one LLM remediation pass. Preflight checks are free — you only consume a credit when you click Process. Failed processing attempts do not consume credits.
Do credits expire?
No. Pro credit packs never expire — credits sit in your account until you use them. Institutional annual plans do not meter per-document at all; use as much as your rate-limit allows.
Can we pay by purchase order?
Yes. Institutional and White-label plans support PO + net-30 invoicing. Email bwinchell@esdesigns.org with your procurement requirements.
What assistive technology has this been tested with?
Our remediated PDFs carry tag structure that JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver can navigate. Our DOCX outputs open cleanly in Microsoft Word's Accessibility Checker with zero errors on standard templates.
Is this compatible with FERPA?
Yes. Because documents aren't stored server-side and remediation runs under a zero-retention AI agreement, student work you process stays within the constraints FERPA requires. See our Trust page for the full security posture.
