Accessible documents for every course.
Automatically.
Document Ally Pro remediates PDFs and Word documents for WCAG 2.2 AA compliance. Built for higher ed. Privacy-first — your documents never leave your browser except for the AI remediation pass.
The dates
Large entities, which include public colleges, have until April 26, 2027. Small entities and special districts have until April 26, 2028.
The ADA Title II rule requires public-sector web content, including course materials, to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Much of that work sits in documents: syllabi, handouts, handbooks, forms, and scanned PDFs that a website scan does not fix. Document Ally Pro checks against WCAG 2.2 AA, which includes 2.1.
What it does
Preflight, remediate, and prove it.
Every feature is designed around the real workflow of an ADA coordinator, disability services director, or instructor remediating syllabi before the semester starts.
Instant preflight
See the accessibility score and top issues before you spend a remediation credit. Catches untagged PDFs, scanned images, bad OCR, and multi-column layouts in seconds.
AI remediation
Tagged PDFs with heading structure, alt text on images, descriptive link text, and semantic lists. Output as DOCX, HTML, or tagged PDF — on your terms.
Batch processing
Upload up to 5 documents at once. Each one appears as soon as it finishes, so you are not waiting on the slowest file in the batch.
Pay per document
5 free documents at signup, then credit packs by card. Credits never expire, and a run that fails is not charged.
FERPA-friendly
Documents are never stored by default. Text extraction happens in your browser; only the remediation pass touches our AI provider under a zero-retention agreement.
8 preview themes
Clean, Slate, Ally Blue, Academic, High Contrast, Warm Earth, Dyslexia-Friendly (Verdana + generous spacing), and Night. Same underlying document, delivered on your terms.
The flow
From upload to accessible output in under a minute.
Upload
Drop a PDF or DOCX, or up to 5 at once in a batch.
Preflight
See the pre-remediation score, top issues, and expected lift before you proceed.
